1 | Mix the sour cream, buttermilk, lemon juice and spices in a mixing bowl or salad bowl. Add about 2-4 Tbsp water to thin it to the desired consistency. Set aside. |
2 | Cut the cucumbers in half lengthwise and scoop out the seeds. This will keep them from weeping, and also make them prettier. Slice the cucumbers about 1" thick. Add to the dressing. |
3 | Dice the tomato into large chunks and slice the onion into thin slices; add to the dressing. |
4 | Mix well and chill for 30 minutes or more - this is best served on the same day as you prepare it but will keep for a couple of days if needed. |
