Looking for a low-fat but decadent chocolate sauce? Well, we have the perfect recipe! Try it with fresh strawberries, pretzels or dried fruit.
¾ cup sugar
1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
4 tsp cornstarch
2/3 cup evaporated skim milk
1 tsp vanilla or rum extract
1 Mix together sugar, cocoa powder and cornstarch. Add mixture and evaporated milk to a small saucepan.
2 Heat over medium heat, stirring constantly until sauce is thick and bubbly. Cook for 2 more minutes, remove from heat and stir in vanilla.
3 Dip desired fruit into sauce and refrigerate until chocolate sets.
4 Yield: 1 cup. Serving Size: 1 tablespoon.
