Many people are unhappy at their current weight and decide to go on a diet to get healthier. Luckily, losing weight doesn’t mean that you have to deprive yourself of all treats that you enjoy. There are lots of healthy snacks that you can eat and still lose weight. Check out these four types of healthy snacks that you can eat on a diet and still lose weight.

Protein Bars
Protein bars are a great snack choice if you’re trying to shed the pounds. Packed with protein, they keep you full longer and give you energy. Protein also helps to increase your metabolic rate, which helps you burn calories faster. There are endless varieties of protein bars to choose from. Keto protein bars are low in net carbs and are perfect for a ketogenic diet. Some include dried fruit, chocolate, or nuts. Eating this delicious snack will make you feel like you’re not even on a diet.

Fresh Fruits and Vegetables
When striving to eat healthier, you can’t beat fresh fruits and vegetables. Prepare these in advance so they’ll be cut and ready to go when you find yourself needing a snack. Cucumbers, bell peppers, baby carrots, broccoli, cauliflower, cherry tomatoes, and celery are all great choices. They are crunchy, satisfying, and great for you. Feel free to pair them with a fun dip such as hummus or guacamole. If you’re craving something sweet, reach for apple slices, orange slices, berries, plums, pineapple, or melon. Fruit is sure to satisfy your craving.

Something Salty and Crunchy
Sometimes you’re craving something salty and crunchy, but instead of reaching for a bag of potato chips, consider something different instead. Kale chips are delicious and healthy, and it’s easy to make your own. Cut kale leaves into bite sized pieces, drizzle with olive oil, and sprinkle with sea salt. Bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 10-15 minutes. If you don’t feel like cooking, try salted almonds, cashews, or pecans. Lightly buttered popcorn is also a great option.

Eating yogurt can feel like you’re having a decadent dessert. Start with creamy Greek yogurt and add the toppings of your choice. Drizzle with honey, add berries, jam, or even a few dark chocolate chips. Greek yogurt is packed with protein which is great for you and is extremely filling.

Going on a diet doesn’t mean that you have to give up delicious snacks. Give these snacks a try and you’ll never feel restricted while losing weight.
