Celebrities and Diet

Fresh off filing for divorce both former power girls Britney Spears and Whitney Houston seem to be in step for making comebacks.

Just last week Spears filed for divorce from husband of two years, Kevin Federline. The story made headlines around the world. FOXNews interrupted their election night coverage to announce the predicted split. Houston filed for divorce in October from bad boy husband Bobby Brown. The two were married in 1992 and have since filled the tabloids were drug accusations, arrests and assault charges. Both dropped their dead weight and now can focus on making their comebacks.

Both women were once regarded as the music industry’s most powerful. Their husbands however only brought about negative press and poor stylists. Now that they have been kicked to the curb, Spears and Houston have begun their transformation. Wasting no time, Spears strutted around New York City the same day she filed for divorce showcasing her hot new body. She showed up everywhere from Letterman, to the recording studio to ice skating in Times Square. Two weeks after she filed the papers, Houston made an appearance at the Carousel of Hope Ball Oct. The singer's blond style and figure-hugging Armani gown was reminiscent of her R&B glory days.

If you haven’t been able to tell, I am a big Spears advocate. I loved the days when Britney and Justin were Pop music’s prince and princess. Now that FedEx is gone, Spears seems to be making every move that signals a comeback. I’m praying she will hire a stylist like Rachel Zoë (for her choice in wardrobe ONLY) and producers for her album like Paris (hey she can’t sing either but somehow her CD got pretty good reviews). Spears seems to be looking great working out on her own, reportedly. Houston I think just stopped doing drugs and now seems to be doing much better. She seems to be living a healthy life filled with exercise and proper nutrition. It clearly shows she is trying to get back on top. She has the vocals to be a power house performer again and now that her priorities seem intact it seems inevitable.

Other women, who are looking better than ever, since filing divorce papers, are Christie Brinkley and Heather Locklear. Divorce never tasted so sweet for these women as they have excelled post married life. If you are undergoing a life changing event, a personal makeover may be just what the doctor ordered to finding happiness again.

And this helps us how?

I think alot of women use divorce and other emotional life changing events as reason to eat for comfort. It's easy to become depressed and sit around, feel sorry for yourself. These women hit rock bottom and now they are making an effort to bounce back and make comebacks for themselves!
