The natural goodness of whole grains and flax are cooked into this great breakfast idea.
Ingredients:
1/2 cup whole wheat or oat bran pancake mix
1 tablespoon ground flaxseed
1/2 cup fresh blueberries
2 teaspoons light margarine
2 tablespoons reduced-calorie syrup
Directions:
1 Prepare pancake mix according to package directions. Mix flaxseeds into the batter.
2 Spray frying pan or griddle with cooking spray. Pour batter into pan to make three 4-inch pancakes.
3 Top with blueberries, light margarine and syrup.
4 **To lower sodium - make your own pancake mix.**
